Octavio De la Peña Vaillard

Octavio De la Peña Vaillard is Chairman and CEO of the Company. He began his career in the investment division of Vector Casa de Bolsa and later served as Project Director at DLP Desarrollos Inmobiliarios, where he oversaw multiple construction projects.

In 2018, he co-founded Brains Global Health Tech, a leading healthcare services company in Mexico. He currently serves on its Board of Directors and is also a local board member of Grupo Financiero Banorte.

In addition to his executive roles, Mr. De la Peña has extensive experience in strategic planning, corporate governance, and business development. His leadership emphasizes innovation, operational efficiency and long-term value creation.

Chaquer Rohana Correa

Chaquer Rohana Correa serves as Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of Marlex, where he oversees financial strategy, capital allocation, and reporting, while contributing to long-term planning.

He co-founded Brains Global Health Tech and has extensive experience in digital transformation and business development, leading large-scale initiatives across Latin America, particularly in the healthcare sector.

He holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from ITAM. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Brains Global Health.

Sebastian De la Peña Vaillard

Sebastian De la Peña Vaillard is Commercial Director and a member of the Board of Directors of Marlex. He leads the Company’s commercial strategy, client relationships, and business development initiatives, supporting the positioning of its harbour, offshore, and integrated towage services.

He holds a Master’s degree in Healthcare Institution Management from Universidad Anáhuac México Norte and a Medical Doctor degree from the same institution, graduating with distinction. His background combines healthcare management, quality standards, and operational efficiency.

He is also a co-founder and Board member of Brains Global Health Tech, where he contributes to corporate strategy and market expansion.

José Antonio Virgen Zamorano

José Antonio Virgen Zamorano is Chief Operating Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of Marlex. He oversees fleet operations, technical management, safety compliance, and marine engineering, ensuring high operational standards across the Company’s activities.

He is a certified Chief Engineer Unlimited with over 20 years of international maritime experience, including offshore and complex vessel operations. His expertise includes dynamic positioning systems, high-voltage propulsion, and advanced vessel maintenance programs.

He has led major dry-dock projects, sea trials, and class inspections, and holds all required STCW certifications.
